Political Stock Report

MIXED – Absentee ballots: The crush is still on. Nearly 2 million Wisconsinites have requested absentee ballots through the mail, and as of this morning, 88 percent of the ballots requested have already been returned. The 1.7 million absentee ballots returned is nearly twice as many as in 2016. In-person absentee voting, which is set to end on Sunday, makes up some 542,000 of that total. And it looks like voters are starting to get the hang of voting absentee. During the state’s first election in the COVID-19 era, election officials rejected some 23,000 absentee ballots, including 2,600 that arrived after an extended April 13 deadline and another 20,500 that contained an error or were cast by an ineligible voter.
